The Final Straw
We were just turning into the alleyway enroute to our gate. Our Captain observed a whole bunch of Western Airlines baggage carts cluttering up the entrance to the alley. This was a regular occurrence, but I guess my Captain had had enough. He says: “Watch this.” He cocks the tail towards the offending carts and runs the power way up. After a moment he turns the aircraft back towards our gate, and I can see the carts still rolling. It was hilarious, but the phone was ringing for us but the time we got to Ops. The Chief Pilot took a dim view.
