Birds Are Supposed to Fly Outside
I showed up for a 10:00 departure out of Columbus, Ohio. The Gate Agent explains: “There is a problem.” A few birds got in the aircraft and are flying around. What can we do? I didn’t think our passengers would appreciate the winged company, so we got the crew together and developed a plan. First of all, open all the doors but don’t fall out. Then get some brooms and try to herd the birds towards the back exits and freedom. A couple went easily but the last two took some work. It was comical as our crew is crawling over seat backs with brooms after these little frightened critters. Wish I had a video camera. Finally success. We boarded and were off.
