Check Captain Ragged on an ILS
I was running the simulator so that one of our Check Captains could get some practice time. He normally was incredibly good but now was all over the place trying to fly an ILS approach. I was totally bewildered, but finally understood the cause of such bad airmanship. In the interest of time, I had selected double ground speed during his downwind and forgot to remove it during the approach. In reality, he was doing a reasonably good job flying down the final approach at 300 knots.
